Privacy and site data
This page describes the public Bangkok Guide website: its page-view counter, search, local trip-budget calculator and links to other services.
Technical records and visit statistics
The site uses its own page-view counter, together with normal web-server records. Requests can include the IP address, browser information, time, page URL and query string, referrer, screen size and basic page engagement. The counter can report whether a page was viewed or interacted with and time visible on screen.
These technical records are not described here as anonymous. The public guide does not require an account.
Search and the trip calculator
Search terms appear in the page URL and can therefore be included in request and visit records. Costs entered in the trip calculator are calculated in your browser; that calculator does not send the entered amounts to a server or save them between visits.
Cookies and browser storage
The public guide’s page-view counter does not set analytics cookies. Your browser, email provider and external services you choose to visit may apply their own storage and cookie policies.
Email enquiries
The contact link opens your email application. If you send an enquiry, the editorial mailbox receives your email address, message and any attachments you choose to include. We do not operate a contact form on this public site.
External booking links
Following a booking link opens another service. That service receives a request from your browser and handles any personal information, booking or payment you give it under its own privacy policy. Links may use a redirect to record a booking-link click. See our affiliate disclosure.
Questions about records
For questions about technical records, an email enquiry or a deletion request, contact the editorial team and identify the information concerned. Do not include sensitive identity documents in an initial email.
